Comfort through a straw..!

I don't know about you but following a nerve wracking experience the first thing I think about is a coffee.. even if, like after a dentist visit it means drinking said coffee through a straw :) hmm! wonder if that means I'm addicted? It could be worse right! Sitting in Myers tearoom looking down onto Padbury Walk and through the stained glass window to Forrest Place and the old General Post Office building. It's not a trendy cafe but sometimes it can be wonderfully reassuring sitting somewhere old school, albeit a touch outdated! Happy Wednesday, hope it's a good one, take care and stay safe...

  1. This is a fine photo of a stunning window. But it is only Tuesday on this side of the world while I enjoy a fine cup of coffee. Roasted the beans myself.

  2. Personally can't stand coffee. But now a nice cuppa hot tea and a nice view--that would be splendid!

  4. I drink the old style cheap coffee, just a morning drink for me. You could be doing a lot worse though!

  9. I love that stained glass window, I'd find it very comforting to sit there for a while although my thoughts turn to wine instead of coffee. I've never tried drinking wine through a straw. That does sound a bit unpleasant.

  14. In Perth, this beautiful place counts as old school and outdated? Well, give me more. It looks great to me.

Sorry about the dentist visit. It is a necessary evil.

  15. So the coffee is a religious experience for you?

  16. Can't do without without your coffee! Not sure if it would taste as good through a straw. Hope the tooth settles down soon. My mate Robert (Bob) Juniper designed the window.

  17. I like the window. Perhaps having coffee in such a place is like being in your house clothes, comfortable.

«Louis» can relate to having a coffee addiction! Being a coffee roaster, it seems to go with the job... Five strong cups today...

  21. Gosh that is one enormous atrium Grace. I'm with you. A cup of coffee always goes down well when I am in a tough spot. Did you hear that Melbourne has been voted as having the best coffee in the world by Bookings.com users? The sample may have been a bit skewed but we will take the cudos anyway. Cheers J.

Oh, I love this perspective ! even if it does not look "old school" style to my eyes.

  29. Just recently I had to stop drinking coffee... not that I was a big coffee drinker..as a matter of fact, I thought of myself as a non coffee drinker until a few years ago when I found myself really liking latte's!!! Enjoy your coffee...however you get to drink it!!!

  31. Lovely stained glass window…so is it old and in an old building? The ubiquitous kangaroo I imagine is as much a mainstay of art as the use of Palm trees in California. But at a distance it's lovely.
