Hot & spicey with a touch of sweet!

As if it's not hot enough with the weather I stopped in at Kakulas Bros on Sunday before heading out to Hyde Park to stock up on 'the real deal' curry powder.. not sure how you feel but I think if you're going to make a curry don't mess about with mild and medium go straight for the hot stuff.. great for speeding up the metabolism :) When you push open the door to Kakulas, wholesalers, retailers and importers since 1929 the smell from the generous open bags of spices is intoxicating.. if you click the link above you'll see that there's not much you won't find here.  Being a woman of diverse tastes I like to balance the hot with a touch of sweet :) see the bundles of cinnamon sticks below.

Just in-case anyone had any ideas of tasting the merchandise, don't even think about it.. 'they' can see you, had to smile at the artwork! Do you find that when you have a Monday holiday everything gets a wee bit out of sync, still can't believe it's Thursday though, well here in Perth anyway :) Have a good one, take care and stay safe.....

  1. I love places like this. But unfortunately it is not very often I find one, not many here where I am living. (Last time I visited a big marked in Dubai.)

  12. Gosh, I wish we had a store like this here in Phoenix. We do have a nice spice store but everything is in bottles and jars. I'd love to go into a place like this and smell all those spicy aromas.

An exercise room is an excellent choice. In fact, that would be a good thing for me to have!
